Great Bend to McPherson – Celebrating Milestones and Honoring Veterans

Today’s journey from Great Bend to McPherson, KS, covered 64 miles and marked a significant milestone—I have now completed 1,500 miles of this incredible cycling adventure! The sense of accomplishment is immense, but what made today truly special were the sights and sentiments along the way.

Leading the group!

As I pedaled through Lyons, Kansas, I was moved by the heartfelt tributes to veterans. Flags honoring veterans of all wars hung proudly from light posts around the courthouse, a beautiful and poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by so many for our freedom. Seeing these tributes reinforced the purpose behind my ride, as I continue to raise funds for veterans and support their mental health and well-being.

Looking ahead, I’ll be cycling 80 miles to Emporia, KS tomorrow. As I ride, I find myself constantly reflecting on the beauty of this country and the spirit of the people I’ve met over the past 24 days.

Here’s to the road ahead, the challenges to overcome, and the countless stories still waiting to be discovered. Thank you for following along and supporting this mission—it means the world to me and to the veterans we’re helping.
