Today marked the end of our incredible 3400-mile journey as we cycled from Brattleboro, VT to Burlington, MA. Covering 91 miles in sweltering 95-102 degree weather with 4500 feet of elevation and 24 challenging hills, we pushed through the final stretch with a mix of exhaustion and exhilaration.

In a heartfelt tribute, we each placed a flower from Carol’s bouquet on our helmets to support her on the one-year anniversary of her husband’s passing. This act of solidarity added a profound sense of purpose to our ride today.

The last 20 miles took us down a serene country path, flanked by tall pines, lush ferns, and vibrant hydrangeas. The beauty of the landscape was a fitting end to our journey, offering moments of reflection and gratitude for the adventure we’ve shared.

Crossing two state lines, we finally arrived in Burlington, marking the victorious end of our epic ride. We celebrated our achievement with a special awards ceremony and dinner. Among the accolades were awards for exceptional cycling skills and the prestigious EFI (Every Fabulous Inch) award, recognizing those who rode every mile of the journey.

The sense of accomplishment and the bonds we’ve forged along the way made this journey truly unforgettable. Tonight, we celebrate not just the miles we’ve covered, but the spirit of perseverance and community that has defined our experience.
