Day 34: A Wonderful Ride from Crawfordsville to Greenfield, Indiana

Today was a truly wonderful day of cycling, covering 75 miles from Crawfordsville, IN to Greenfield, IN. Under blue skies with a light breeze, the ride was as pleasant as it gets.

We started the day riding along the beautiful White River Trail, which offered stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. The trail was a perfect way to begin our journey, surrounded by nature’s beauty.

One of the highlights of the day was passing by the Indianapolis Speedway. The energy and history of the place were palpable, and it was amazing to be so close to such a legendary site.

Our route took us through the heart of Indianapolis, where we had the opportunity to see some iconic landmarks. We rode past the Indiana Capitol and the impressive Soldiers & Sailors Monument. The city was alive with activity, and we were lucky enough to stumble upon a Salvation Army celebration. In honor of National Donut Day, they were handing out delicious donuts.

We took a well-deserved break for ice cream at Libby’s, a delightful treat after miles of pedaling. The day ended with a picturesque photo of our group along the White River, capturing the essence of our journey and the camaraderie that keeps us going.

As I reflect on today’s ride, I’m grateful for the experiences and the people I’ve met along the way. Each day brings new adventures and memories, reminding me of the purpose behind this journey and the incredible support we’ve received.
