Amidst the rugged beauty of Arizona, our cycling journey took on a deeper meaning as we encountered two remarkable veterans: 95-year-old Stanley Rohrer, a Korean War hero and Joe Schrader, a Desert Storm veteran. Day 7 was not just about conquering mountains but also about honoring their bravery and resilience as we navigated challenging climbs and thrilling switchbacks.

The climbs on Day 6 were some of the most demanding yet, with steep gradients and winding roads testing our endurance and resolve. As we ascended towards Mount Humphrey, the highest peak in Arizona, each pedal stroke felt like a tribute to the strength and resilience of our veterans, past and present.

One of the most memorable aspects of our journey was navigating the thrilling switchbacks of Oak Creek Canyon. With every twist and turn, we were met with breathtaking views and heart-pounding descents, a testament to the exhilarating challenges of the open road.

As we set our sights on Mount Humphrey, our path led us through the breathtaking beauty of Oak Creek Canyon. With each pedal stroke, we ascended thrilling switchbacks and marveled at the towering cliffs surrounding us.

As I faced the uphill battles and winding paths, the unwavering support of my friends and the cause I pedal for kept me going. With each challenging mile, my determination to raise funds for veterans grew stronger, bolstered by the camaraderie and the knowledge that our collective efforts, including yours, make a real difference! Together, we navigated the twists and turns of the road, offering each other encouragement, sharing laughter, and holding onto a shared sense of purpose. The bonds forged by friendship and your support carried us through the most challenging climbs, one pedal stroke at a time.
