The military has been in my family for generations. I have seen first-hand the incredible honor of service yet continued struggles of men and women after discharge.
From early May to the end of June 2024, I will cycle across the same United states those honored veterans swore to protect. I will be raising money for Veterans who need post military support. They must know they have not been forgotten. As a DAR “Daughter of the American Revolution” I am throwing my support behind The Department of Veteran Affairs.
My journey is 3,296 miles that passes through 14 states. I will be joining 27 other riders dipping our rear wheels in the Pacific Ocean May 4th in Manhattan Beach, California and then 43 days later we will dip our front wheels in the Atlantic Ocean at Paul Revere Beach, Massachusetts. I plan to meet with as many Veteran service organizations and community leaders, as I can, in over the 44 cities and towns along the way.
Every penny raised will benefit Veterans seeking services at The Department of Veteran Affairs. We live an incredible life here in the United States of America, but only because of the sacrifices of those who protected us by their military service. Together we can raise awareness and the necessary funds for a cause much bigger than ourselves or any bike ride!
